About BooYoga
Booyoga is Slow Vinyasa. Slow Vinyasa gives the practitioner time to evaluate their limitations and how poses should be modified uniquely for their conditions. Slow Vinyasa is a wonderful practice in discovering one’s personal limitations and learning how to move past those limitations. The pace of the session may be slower but the long term progress of the practitioner will ultimately be positively impacted.
BooYoga was created by Sophie Boo as a result of her experiences practicing with various schools of yoga. She trained in Hatha, Sivananada, and Ashtanga yoga from India’s traditional schools of yoga and Forrest yoga in Korea. Then she completed Hot Power Yoga (200 hour) and Jason Crandell’s Advanced Vinyasa course in London (500 hour). She also trained in Budokon with Cameron Shayne. All had something to give to what became BooYoga.
BooYoga is the combination of the learnings from these schools of yoga. The end result is a practice of slow Vinyasa yoga. It highlights weaknesses, allows the practitioner to adapt, modify, and enhance their progress. It results in a uniquely personalized experience that is enriching.
